How to Trust Transition

Trusting transition, do those words even go together?

(Make sure to get to the bottom for a special treat!)

Trust = a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something.

Transition = the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.

How can you trust transition?  My friend Tara and I got together and created this beautiful workshop "Trusting Transition".  In December 2017, we launched it and I’m happy to say it was a complete success!  An amazing group of women came together to create intentions, speak our truth and let our heart open up to: Trusting Transition.  We infused it with some healing Reiki, got some answers and the momentum to move forward towards our goals with conviction.

Here are some quick takeaways from the group:

  1. Listening to your heart (I call it Your Inner Nurse) is way easier than finding an answer from your “mind”. According to Heartmath, the quickest way to get to your heart is through gratitude.  First we thought of a issue or situation that we could not find an answer to.  I then guided the group through a gratitude meditation.  In the meditation we thought of 3 things we are truly grateful for.  Then we “stacked” all that gratitude up in our bodies and felt the connection between our heart and mind.  After the meditation, we asked for a solution to the issue we thought of.  The result?:   2/3rds of the group found an answer to their problem by just getting in touch with their heart!
  2. When you let it be all about you then you lose all momentum to move towards your goals.  Significance is a a basic human need but when you let that need overtake everything else it holds you back from actually getting to your outcome.
  3. There is no such things as “trying” there is only doing.
  4. Tying an emotion (love, joy, happiness) to what you want can bring you closer to your goal.  For example: Saying “I have to eat better” feels like a checklist instead say “I want to feel health and vitality in my life.  When I eat healthy foods I feel stronger and happier” That gives it some juice so you want to move towards your goal.  (or green juice for my health conscious readers, so yummers!)

This year, I set an intention to really trust and keep myself in a beautiful state of mind.  This will allow me to be open to all the possibilities.  I truly believe that if I commit to any of my goals I’ll be able to get there.

Now it’s your turn, let me know in the comments below what intentions you have made for this new year and what emotion you want to feel as you move towards that goal.
